Congratulations and Apologies

I must apologize for the ranking on Carol Brown's entry "remembering." It was listed as a second place on my Word document, but somehow it came out as a ninth place and I am very sorry for my error.

Big congratulations go out to the three first-place winners: Caryl Ramsdale, Iolanda Scripca and Joyce Johnson.

Iolanda's poem "New York From the Above" took the perspective of a victim looking down, seeing his/her children bringing flowers to the site. Caryl's poem "Good Bye" gave me chills as I thought of all the family members trying to call their loved ones when they heard of the attack. Joyce's poem "nine-eleven" clearly expressed the bewilderment of those who watched the attack and could not believe this event had taken place on American soil.

All of the entries were well written; some were not in the correct form, but I enjoyed reading each one. Determining rankings is always hard.

Congratulations to all the winners and, once again, apologies to Carol for my error in placing the rankings on the Soup site.

it seems only yesterday that this tragedy happened, carols.. i was in NYC 2 years ago and saw a once majestic scence turned into a ground, flat and empty.. thanks for sponsoring this contest... cheers to all and thanks for appreciating mine...:) huggs!
