Cautious Walker

Steps leading down to a steep ravine one path to take The cautious walker moves slowly measuring every step Let's not laugh too hard at him He may look frazzled but he has guts If he is careful He will reach the stream This stream flows through the canyon leaving small creatures in its wake The light from above shines down on the ravine Careful, man careful The dangers are real The time is very short You'll reach your goal and see life from the other side If you move carefully and do not falter with your steps

This can have multiple meanings depending on the view. Gives the reader something to ponder. Simple, yet profound--a art for anyone to accomplish. Good job. Thank you for the kind thoughts on my poem. Have a nice day! Karen

Knowing you Matthew I am not sure what you have in mind here. But I share the adventure of your writing and your always enchanting imagination, too. While I always enjoy the excellent read. Love, Shar

I don't think I could be a walker in a canyon, careful or not! A fine treatment of the benefits of caution... Best wishes, Keith
