Christmas

Snow

Wanted to write a Chastushka But Christmas snow dampened my hair So I took out my babushka And said, “Let it snow, I don’t care!” * December 18, 2020 For Andrea’s Chastushka Contest

Is that smile similar to Mum's? When I saw the photo, I thought of her.

Hi Carolyn, I must admit I had never heard of a babushka but I looked it up, and thought your Chastushka was really cute and creative and fun. Especially the pic! Have a wonderful Christmas Day tomorrow Carolyn and may you be blessed always. Love and hugs, Jennifer.

Creative way to go for the contest. Reads like a good contender to me. Thanks for the visit to my page. We heard from Tommy's cousin today and he is off the respirator. Good news. Sara

I am familiar with the word babushka Carolyn and thought it was perfect for your poem. Cute and funny photo to go with your poem. I hope you are well? I am still catching up on paperwork but enjoying the Christmas spirit, though seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus wearing masks at the mall was a downer. Blessings xxoo

Connie, I just received word that my brother's wife died. She had colon and liver cancer diagnosed in November, but the rest of the family didn't know until now. I'm glad you are doing well, Hon.

Unfortunately, there's only one word the rhymes with Chastushka. In North America, the babushka is a kerchief. In eastern Europe, it refers to an old woman. Have a merry Christmas!
