Love

An old sage said he had learned; only when we give love, can it be returned. What is the gift we have given our world when beneath their desks, frightened Senators are curled? Fear mongers spread hate. A world filled with anger they perpetuate. Take back our country, restore our lives; be ready to spread love when order arrives. *January 7, 2021 For Mark Koplin’s “Morality” poetry contest.

Politics is a very confusing thing. So many powerful people fighting to control it all. Too many promises unkept, too much money pilfered, too many lies told. We need honest people in there not money hungry crooks padding their own pockets and trying to get what they can when they can however they can. A fine write Carolyn. God Bless, JB

I just pray order will be restored soon. Three people who died in the coup attempt had "Medical Emergencies." I'd probably have a heart attack if I was in the Capitol when this happened. Thanks for the visit, Rico!

Like you, I am disturbed by what happened yesterday. It was a shameful display of lawlessness. May your message of unity resonate my friend. Very apt write, Carolyn. I watched in disgust after the debates resumed at night, when some of the lawmakers continued to spread lies.

Some lawmakers have probably sealed their political fates. One Senator from Florida is among them and will no longer get my vote. It's time to move on and let both parties rebuild. Thanks for your kind and thoughtful comment, my friend!
