Now I am my own worst enemy
Because I'm weak on my way
I allow myself to succumb
To the spoils of my day
And I pray and I pray

This happens too much
This strangles my crutch
Thought I had the strength to address
Now my failings I must confess
I’m falling down, I'm on the ground

I can’t keep growing
When I don’t know what I'm throwing
And waiting for that miracle that I know
Will never come
I'm falling down, I'm falling down

If by some miraculous chance
A formula to take me out of this trance
Where to see, where I'm going wrong
So I can stop, singing this jaded worn out song
Silence forever my nemesis, stop falling down

I'm only a human I know and so
I should take it easy, chill out, and let it go
But I can’t see myself, can’t see the way
That voice inside me compels me to stay
Where do I turn?
Where will I learn?

Now I am my own worst enemy
Because I know, let it go
