hazy golden clouds illuminate tranquil sea storm leaves parting gift After Tropical Storm Isais passed by the Florida coast, I noticed a golden hue coming through my window to light up the house. There was a photo of it on the national news and I’ve never seen a sky more beautiful. *August 4, 2020 For Tania’s haiku contest.

Hi Carolyn, isn't it wonderful, how awe insoiring and both terrible, nature can be. This is a Haiku that brings my soul peace. I do love Haiku when they are so well written as this. Your words say so much and the picture is incredible. The Haiku has to go into my faves. Have a wonderful Friday, Love and Hugs....Mike. XX

The irony is delicious the way you've phrased it --- 'storm leaves parting gift.' Like we're supposed to be grateful after getting clobbered... but we ARE! Can't keep human optimism down! Great haiku, Carolyn! :) gw

The sky and the sea were the only entertainment sailors had over the thousands of years, yet we are still fascinated by the sight. Well caught and scribed! Aloha! Rico

Yes, I'm fine, Jan. My sister in NJ is still without power, but my uncle's power was restored. Sis has a generator, but doesn't know how to use it well.
