Easter Pendant Point System/"My Place"Contest Results - Carolyn Devonshire's Blog

Congratulations to all of the winners in the "My Place" Contest.  This was, by far, the most difficult contest to judge because so many of the entries were outstanding. There will be at least one more contest before Easter and I do have a concept for the next one.

Newcomers can still enter and earn points.  Each contest will have prizes for first and second place.  This time we had one first-place winner, James Marshall Goff.  There were two second-place winners (wish I could have had more) and they were Anthony Slausin and Connie Marcum-Wong.

Here's how the point system works:

All contestants in fourth through sixth place are receiving two points for entering this contest. I've just made an alphabetical chart. First place nets five points, second place earns four points, third place earns three points and all the others get two, so no one is so far behind they can't still be in contention for the Easter cross pendant.  If there is a tie for first in the end, I will have to review the poems again and make a judgment call.

I am now trying to get all of the addresses so the prizes for the first contest can go out this week.
