Our Time

our time cashed out way before the meter expired sending our dreams somersaulting helter skelter to the whims of what never was planned leaving fairy tales breathless, our favorite song, weeping still, in the landfill of love

Must say, I had to read this one again and add it to my faves, Jim. It describes well the way I felt when my husband died so young. Thankfully, I resurrected from "the landfill of love," but it took time. I'm still out of town with family business, but had to stop by and say hello. Love you, Carolyn
