Alexa and I have been reading the entries for the Techno-Limericks contest as they come in and having some great laughs. Most of them are very, very good.

I'm surprised we haven't seen one written in the voice of Bigfoot complaining that his toe-nail clipper doesn't work. LOL

There are no misspellings (hooray!), but there are two entries with the wrong syllable counts, one is not a limerick at all and two entries have problems with the rhyme scheme.

Alexa and I will be ranking individually first and then combining our rankings. The lowest number of "points" wins. For example, if Alexa give a poem a fourth place and I give it a tenth place, it will have 14 points. In one contest I co-judged, the two first-place winners had six points each, so there is the possibility of ties but we're only giving rankings for first through tenth place. The funniest ones in the proper form will be the winners.

With 29 entries, we're looking forward to the remaining six. Thanks for the fun limericks and enjoy the week ahead!

I haven't tried to write one for this but I have read some of the works...Should be a fun one to judge..I looked at a Nook this afernoon and I am techo_limited..Thanks for stopping by my blog..I am looking forward to an entry by you..Sara

Hi Carolyn...I know that in the contest desc. you guys said (something like) ultimately the syllables should match...but I think my last line sounds better w/ 8 syllables instead of 10 like I have in lines one and two. Will mine be disqualified even though it is still in limerick form, following the 8-10 rule? If so, I will fix it. Thank you guys!
