I am a doctor based in UK and have served the National health service for nearly 30 years. Poetry has been my interest from a very early age and read poetry in Hindi, Tamil and English.
My all time favourite poem is the Elegy in a country churchyard by Thomas Gray, I love Robert Frost, Browning, Wordsworth and Tennyson. I have made a pilgrimage to their birthplace.My favourite writers include Somerset Maugham and Dapne Du Maurier.
I love reading poetry but like great poems that are not lost in extreme verbosity, a tendency for many who employ free verse. Christina Rossetti is a great example of a poet who conveyed beautiful thoughts in simple language.
' Home they brought her Warrior dead' is a good example of a brilliant poem written with the simplest of words.

I look forward to reading the brilliant works of the many poets on Poetry Soup.

I am writing in my capacity as a medic to urge my friends to get vaccinated. This is not about politics, or money. It is the number of unnecessary deaths we are beginning to see. I have had my two shots and feel protected. The people who are getting admitted now are those who had not been vaccinated.
infection rate up by 59%
hospitalisation up by 36%
deaths by 19%.

Some as young as 25. Some older individuals had refused the vaccine and now feel they should have taken it. Vaccine is not about Fauci, Bill Gates or Trump or Biden. In this pandemic the best protection is the vaccine. we have also been conducting trials on many other drugs but with not so much success. We should know more later.

But right now, I would urge you ro get the vaccine.

Sorry, If You disagree but I have no interest in this other than the good of all I know, and it would be sad to see people catch the virus and suffer its effects.

Why is the 'inventor' of the MRNA related to vaccine issue now coming out with warnings of how dangerous it is with Spike Protein? Why is he now getting death threats as he says he is? And he the 'inventor' himself , considered a conspiracy theorist too?

Andrea, thank you for acknowledging Kennedy. Recently the press secretary claimed they get their info. from the 'experts' regarding covid and mentioned years of experience. So, their experts are reliable. But interesting, when other experts with years of experience in general speak out with their facts or explain in detail what the vaccine does in the body, they are treated like this? It is expert vs. expert. It is helpful for people to research and certainly decide for themselves either way :)

Kennedy won against a children's vaccine company. Nobody seems to care about that and all the work he did.

Probably he is considered that . Here is another example. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. won a lawsuit two years ago against a vaccine company which could not prove their testing was even done or that their vaccine was safe. He is deemed a conspiracy theorist . Half his family do not support him but I adore that man and what he is doing in Germany with the good doctors there. He is born in my year and is such a kind man. So sad when people like Judy M are also thrown under the bus by lies.

I know our government officials are often times crooked liars. I’m pretty sure that they are not trying to kill off most of the population. If they did who would pay taxes to keep them strong and wealthy? I’m somewhat disappointed that I have to start wearing a mask tomorrow at work. I guess the vaccinated people can spread it to the unvaccinated. I don’t believe that the government has a right to force anything on us, but if we stop believing everything we read on social media and get our shots things could get back to normal with a lot less death. I respect everyone’s rights and concerns but I think it’s time to be responsible and think of others

One more thing. I think what is frustrating is that people who question the vaccine, bringing up concerns etc,, lead to being called a conspiracy theory. Medical doctor's who have worked in the field for years give warnings with factual explanation. So do those who have experience with vaccines, like Geert did. Why would they be considered conspiracy theorists? Why put their reputation on the line? Media and govt. Only say to take it. CDC doesn't give monthly updates of this experiment with info from all sides, so people research other experts. Then they are unfairly called conspiracy theorists And...why aren't they working on a Lyme Disease vaccine? Many people are suffering from Lyme Disease that comes from ticks in this area. It is very bad and life altering.

So she will oppose vaccine- logic, science doesn’t matter. She will say anything to convert people to her beliefs. She is not open and unbiased!! Twitter has banned her, and there is no logic or reasoning- Just a bland, solid eyes closed, mind closed ‘No’!! I feel sorry for her and those who have been listening to her and believe her

Geert has some experience with vaccine but his last publication was in 1993. His next one was in 2007 about killer cells. He uses rhetoric and fear to spread his message. He compares antibiotic misuse to vaccine misuse. He is wrong and misleading. If his ideology is followed we will have more deaths than what we have suffered. He has already been sued for his pseudoscience and false claims. I am not interested in him and shall comment no more on this person or what he stands for. Regarding Lyme disease, I can assure you that lot of research would be goi g on that we know little about. I am not sure if a vaccine can be found for something like Lyme’s disease. There are no vaccines for filariasis either and many other diseases. But these are not viruses. Lyme’s disease is treatable with antibiotics. Covid, measles cannot be killed by antibiotics. so we need a vaccine to help the body develop antibodies against them.

the pcr test does not test for a virus, the creator of it, kary mullis, said it should not be used to diagnose infectious disease, so why are they using it??

PCR test is one of the greatest contributions to science and all credit to Kary Mullis for solving the problem. PCR is the most reliable test we have currently for COVID 19, but like many tests it has 30% false negatives which puts guys like me at risk of getting the infection from the patient. It alsi has false positives as it will pick dead Viral RNA for 30 days sometimes. This is to guide us make decisions so the infection does not spread. Kary Mullis PCR test won him the Nobel prize but he was not right about everything. He did not think HIV caused AIDs and he was wrong there. He also did not believe in green houses gases or the destruction of Ozone layer. PCR is for detecting small amounts of RNA and can definitely be used for detecting RNA of COVID 19. It is a test we rely on and for good reasons. LFT has limitations. But right now PCR is the best we have

WHO has lost the trust. We need that restored. WHO in the past decade has been influenced by the global powers like US. WHO depends on US for funding. We need a central body we can trust. That should be WHO. currently it is not.

Doctor when I was a child they made us get a polio vaccine when I was 18 they made us go to war, the military has forced everyone who has been in it to get shots, children cannot go to school without shots, my country used to be the home of the brave it's become the home of the frightened timid and angry, filled with excuse after excuse, my wife and I are in our 70's we got our shots in Feb, nothing happened, when people are frightened they blame everything and search for reasons to disguise their fear, funny how they are more afraid of a shot than a virus that has killed over 6 hundred thousand, therefore the virus isn't that bad and the shot is dangerous, no common sense, go figure...

Bio weapon Anthrax and Small pox exist in labs still under guard and can be bio weapons! SARs virus has long been rumoured to be a bio weapon and similar ideas go back to days of Nazi Germany! Bio weapons would effectively end the world. Novels < Dan Koontz) portrayed Respiratory virus as a bio weapon. This out break was no bio weapon. We will never know the full truth but if it is a bioweapon, why did so many die in China? US? and world over! who wins such a war- there is no end to such stories! right now we need to stop the virus from spreading. vaccine provides a barrier and curtails its progress

Fredric You are so spot on! I did not even think of objecting to any of the vaccinations. We obeyed and thank God for it. In Uk a doctor created false research to show that MMR vaccine caused Autism, and many stopped the vaccine for their children with damaging effects. The doctor was finally sued and taken off the register! I do not why people pursue these wild conspiracy theorists and pay a price. WHO must be a body the world should trust! One more thing , whether true or not, a bio weapon expert who helped pass legislation regarding level 4 labs years ago stated Covid being a bioweapon with gain of function. If it were to be, that would be different than Polio? It appears it is the learning process of this situation leading to much confusion out there.

Hi Frederic. I am glad you gave your input. The more info. the better. I think besides those who are unable to take it due to health history leading to reaction, I think people question how effective it is lately with what is happening to those vaccinated. Why would someone want to take an experimental vaccine that may not stop it? It is just very confusing. The fear you mention probably comes from documented cases that did happen killing healthy people. But, that is speculation re: many who do not want to.

i had several co workers come down with covid, 2 of them road on the same bus together, one of them was vaccinated, one was not, both went to the hospital, both went on ventilators, both died...i know he is not the only vaccinated one to die... also a family member of mine is in medical field, some people dropped over dead right after receiving the vaccine, some within days, including my friend and neighbor who had the phizer shot and 4 days later was dead...i have a lot of allergies and sensitvities to medicines, as for me, i fear what is in that virus could kill me, as could the virus...

I think the timing is perfect. we have seen the virus infecting people but we do not have deaths anymore! We were losing in UK 1200 per day before vaccination. now it is under 40 deaths due to delta variant amongst the vulnerable and unvaccinated. Tragic that people ares till losing their lives to the virus but compared to last year, So much better.

Also, Geert Bossche actually worked on vaccines with Gates in the past and warns of the vaccines for Covid mainly stressing the *timing* of giving them right now at this stage of the pandemic. He explains the timing can make it more problematic. When our govt. And media have kept truth from us and are censoring people, more people do research and find professionals with important info. Speaking out for good will as well.

DR. Charles Hoffe from Canada I believe, decided to test his vaccinated patients regarding blood clotting. He said, it is microscopic for now and mentioned the capillaries. So he did the D-Dimer test instead of a scan and found the majority of patients have blood clotting. I believe the long term effects are concerning with the experimental vaccine due to their being no info yet on that.

But the Texas Tribune reported 43 vaccinated did die. I am happy you were lucky with small pox as a child and I am sorry to hear about those who didn't.

I am only pointing out other conflicting facts and questions that many people have, as we are all entitled to discuss everything related to the issue. I survived small pox when I was 5. I was in Chennai in India. Just lucky. 8 children in my colony ( about 20 households) died! Small Pox vaccine saved the world from disaster. One of the greatest achievements of WHO is eradication of Small pox- a dreadful disease. I have done lot of charity work with Polio- out break — again due to religious objections in some parts of India and Pakistan. Last 20 years vaccination programs have now nearly eradicated it from India but Pakistan is still suffering because of opposition to vaccination.

Most of the old vaccines including Polio is only 50% effective. That means despite the vaccine we can still suffer the disease but will be milder. In MA the outbreak was attributed to large partying and gatherings and affected predominantly men above 40. Although it affected the vaccinated - most had mild symptoms, 4 were hospitalised but no one died. Compare that to the unvaccinated we are seeing. the death rate is up by 19%. Heidi, I have no interest in this than to help and guide. I have no gains financial or otherwise. Why would I advocate something for reasons other than pure good will?

You are right. But shall we look at this in a little more detail? A vaccine is a clever way of stimulating the body to make its own defence! It is not a drug, it has no microchip in it, it will not do any generic mischief and it does not make some billionaires rich. If you take Diphtheria as an example. it was killing children for centuries. The vaccine came out in 1950s but the WHO did not include it in vaccination programs till 60s. When I was about 7 I know of two childhood friends who died of it. By 1970 deaths due to diphtheria stopped. It took in those days 10 years to get a vaccine out. With modern science it takes months and so COVID vaccine particularly the Pfizer has been remarkable.

There is a lot of evidence stacking up, along with lawyers readying to do lawsuits because of crimes against humanity, but it will be a very hard fight for them because this situation is very huge, and there are not too many like you who are looking at the proof that is out there. Andrea...yes! Good suggestion to research the spike protein. It is about the Spike Protein. And Gain of Function. Professor Francis Boyle is important to listen to regarding Covid. There are also some medical people and some who worked with and/or studied vaccine who are speaking out with what they know with that. A doctor in Canada uses the D-Dimer tests on his vaccinated patients to prove the microscopic blood clotting that has occurred in over 60 percent of them.

I Just wish they'd be satisfied when the number they want vaxxed is reached and leave the rest of us alone instead of shaming us, as was done to Israel (which by the way, is now experiencing lots of covid cases after forcing all its population to be vaxxed. I probably need to verify this, but recently I heard that travelers are staying away from Israel!! Does that make any sense?

More than not reporting, they are trying to cover them up. We are learning things word of mouth here in Utah and the FB group where families could inform people what happened to their loved ones had their platform removed. WHY?? It was a private group; those controling internet also control media and everything you hear and buy!! I had very good info that vanished into thin air when I tried to message it to my friends (not on my wall, just inside messenger) It had to do with the spike protein. They really do not want people hearing about the spike protein. There is so much information out there if people would only search for it. There is a very powerful force in this world. So hard to fight against. I am glad that US still has rebels who are not falling for all this crap, but they are quickly reaching "the numbers they want"

No compulsion at all! Those with a strong history of allergy do not get the vaccine. We are sharing information, and there is no conflict! This was an open suggestion, not an advertisement. If people do not want to take it- that is fine with those who have taken the vaccine!! A discussion not an argument! No one is taking sides!!

I can understand why those who may have a reaction to the vaccination (due to their health history) cannot have it and certainly wouldn't risk the reaction with so many questions regarding how successful it really is. It has been an experimental vaccine all along. I believe everyone should have a choice whether to have it or not. If it is successful, I am not sure why those who have it worry about those who don't. Surely if that is true, there isn't the worry.

the reason we worry is because persecution is coming. They want to make mandates to keep the unvaccinated out of restaurants, concerts, etc. Congress could very well start enacting laws discriminating against those of us who fear worse than drugs have already done to us with side effects. I cannot risk more crap hurting my body and I do not trust experimental drugs, especially since an FDA approved one hurt me.

Why is there an outbreak of covid reported at Cape Cod MA with the majority being vaccinated. Or reports from Israel that the majority of those hospitalized are vaccinated people as well as Sydney Australia?

This is more evidence that something is amiss , Heidi. I am keeping abreast of all these kinds of reports, but nobody cares to discuss how the vaccinated are getting Covid and even being hospitalized!! This is happening in many places, and yet still we only hear the propaganda about "the vaccinated being the dangerous ones" This makes no sense . People actually believe I am a danger to them?? They need a mask against me when THEY are vaccinated already?? I actually have people say these things to me. Society has gone absolutely bonkers . THAT is what is worrying ME. Like I said earlier over here, if people want to get vaxxed, so be it. But i speak out because I fear MY rights are endangered. And I fear for the young kids and what could possibly happen to them from the vaccinations

I would like to know why the therapeutic drugs approved for distribution are not being used or available in certain areas. I know in my state, only available in ICU. In addition, why are the vaccinated now considered able to carry double the viral load and be possible super spreaders with the CDC suggesting they wear a mask inside? Why is there a report of 100 Sailors on an aircraft carrier in the UK who are vaccinated sick with Covid? There are many questions...

The final end comes when it comes. I am saddened by premature deaths. 40 year olds and so on. seen a few. Used to work with children with cancer. That is the most heart breaking thing. 3 and 5 year old who have not even understood life.

Thank you Krish! You give us a great perspective as one on the front lines! Both my husbancd and I have been vaccinated as are the members of our immediate family especially our grandson with autism. It gives all of us peace of mind and opportunities to be together. Both us wear masks in stores and outside in crowded venues. Sam Delighted to know you have all have had the vaccine I have lost about 7 members from my very large family of 3 generations. 5 college mates who were caring for covid patients before the vaccine was available. Everyday of work, with patients struggling to breathe, without any cure available was most distressing for the medical staff on the ground. we celebrated the vaccines that came out in a short time thanks to modern scientific advancements Hope we can clear the world of this terrible virus God bless and good wishes to your family. Dec. I tested assistamatic for covid. I was placed in quarantine in a ward with people moaning and yelling on ventilators.A nurse would walk into my room, ask why I was not using air. I was mad. I didn't think I had Covid. When time allowed that I was able to get my shots, I did. A family lost 3 from this virus. Two sons and a dad within a week of each other, It left grandma sick, taking care of her son's children. I wrote poems for both incidents. I am just going on what I see. I wouldn't call the vaccine genocide. You can die also just getting the flu shot; you might be allergic to what is in the serum injection. I carry an Epipen in case I eat something I am allergic too.

Hi Eve That must have been a very difficult phase. I have known my doctor friends in US leaving their family members in hospitals and despite their ranks couldn't visit their own relatives. Now they are all immunised and such a relief. UK is doing well with vaccine roll out and by middle os September we would have covered majority of the adult population. Hopefully we can cover other countries too! too many unnecessary deaths like in the family you mention! No need for that. I have done lot of work with Polio and families that opposed vaccination ended up with all their children (5 in one family) getting polio and the paralysis I do charity work and we do corrective surgery to make them functional again Hope wisdom prevails

Krish, thanks for this blog and for the work you do. I have gotten my 2 doses with slight side effects and I feel safer and never hesitated for a moment. I have no desire to die of this virus and also urge people to get vaccinated ~ peace and tranquility _Constance

Charlotte, I'm sure you have valid reasons for being angry with the NHS but I can only say brilliant things about the system. It saved my life back in the early 70s and I went on to work for them for over 25 years. I'm double jabbed and wouldn't have it any other way. My thoughts only.

I got the Pfizer vaccine 3 months ago along with my family. I didn’t want to but my wife made and I’m glad she did. I have relatives who refused it and now some of them are dead. I don’t think anyone should be forced to take it. I am for it and have had no side effects.

My stats moniitored daily since Mar 2020 indicated the death rate for hospitalised. ' covid ' cases in England was 30% in the Spring 2020 peak since the vax programme this rate is now down to 5%.Getting vaxed is the main answer to us 'living' with covid.As we are a Global village this needs to be worldwide if we are to remain a 'global' village

In England&Wales ONS MAT *registered deaths increased by 60k (. April-June 2020) and a further 50k (Jan 2021) giving a a total of 110k on 2019 level) since the vax programme started on an age vulnerability basis in 2021(now 70% of adults double vaxed) this MAT registered deaths is 5k below 2019 level.* These stats are my figures collated daily since March 2020.

Krish seems to want to preach the much heralded positives and act like the negatives do not exist. Which to me is a sad way to act.-even if intentions are good. I know of a death that came from a bad reaction from the vaccine.

Robert It is not a gene therapy at all! The body’s immune system is allowed to make its own defence against the virus by giving the body a fraction of the spike protein! If I believed it to be harmful, I would not take it nor would I get my entire family to take it. I have nothing to gain from it but being on the ground and seeing the unnecessary suffering, I want to share my views! I am not cheer leading anything- but asking people to take the only sensible effective defence we have!

Hi Rama without a moments hesitation I would take the second dose. When we put a foreign protein or particle into the body, the body reacts like that. But that is part of the immunisation process. As Jan has pointed the second dose may have no reaction or a mild reaction but the body would be ready to deal with the virus.

I had my first shot of Covishield and I was wiped out with tiredness like I have never known and it lasted many weeks - the second shot I only had a slightly bruised arm and no tiredness :-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks so much for encouraging those who are reluctant to get the vaccine. I have had both shots, and I feel reasonably safe, but I have friends who are adamantly resistant to it. It's a shame, but I'm afraid many of them will have to suffer...and then may not agree to a vaccine.

You are right Milton. We lost a 45 year old father after 3 weeks on the machine! He had refused the vaccine. His family was so distraught! They had all been immunised including his brother and got away with minor symptoms. We cannot go back in time and set things right!

I lost a dear friend to the Delta variant a week ago. He had refused to be vaccinated, believing some of the false theories doing the rounds on social media. He was an educated man and would be sorely missed. PLEASE vaccinate, people. I've had my two jabs, but still follow the protocol of wearing a mask, wash hands regularly, and keep a social distance. Now my life is in His hands.

Thanks for the advice Krish I have had my 2 jabs... on 21s June our Island had zero cases but since the border was re opened we have over 2000 cases but because of the vaccine only 6 are hospitalised (we have no info if the people in hospital have had the jab or not) the highest numbers of those with the virus are in the 10 - 25 age group many as yet are not immunised so the virus will continue to spread:-( Just stay safe:-) hugs Jan xx

You are right, Krish. I know a lot of people are afraid to get the shots because they still don't know the long term effect of the vaccine. But I even heard there are some that have gotten the vaccine and are testing positive for covid and getting very ill. I got my shots three months ago. I am glad you have posted the blog.

I am glad you are protected. With the vaccine you can get infected but it is likely to be mild and more like common flu. without the vaccine, it can be devastating. All my family members, my neighbours and all my media friends have more or less taken the two shots!!
