Dewdrops

pristine crystal dewdrops on tips of leaves,
showered from heavens above as relief?
tears shed by early morning of the day,
because Sun, night before, had gone away?

every blade of grass, every petal glows,
the fog runs helter-skelter as wind blows,
duty bound rooster has given first call,
red fox is about, and there’s a jackal.

crimson goes sky, golden rays through windows,
slumbering folks blink their eyes from pillows,
yawn - a poor attempt to get over sleep,
a stretch, a howl, to escape from so deep!

Sunday today, a lazy time well earned,
official duties, discharged as learned,
breakfast, coffee, perhaps a thought of God,
a little room for love, never too hard!

dew drops go skating on the clear church glass,
inside young priest is setting up his class,
vocals from heart climb up as divine hymns,
dew drops from heavens are blessings from Him!

Krish, your poem is a wonderful illustration of this phenomenon. The day was filled with beautiful sights from nature. How rapidly does nature manage to transform her appearance? I wish you the best of luck in the contest. ( Please make sure you read the contest requirement and the syllables count)

Thanks so much, SP! I shall read the rules. I am poor sometimes in sticking to rules. Thanks for the thumbs up!!
