South of France Sil Vous Plait
My favourite spot is the South of France,
where I met my new love during a dance,
she spoke only french with a lovers lisp,
tall and elegant in a white gown crisp.
I knew but little of this foreign tongue,
where few words are said others stay in lung,
who gives a damn about this new language,
when with one beautiful I could engage,
I shook with her hips and danced in tune,
both full of French wine in that month of June,
drums and violin, loud female singer,
love in the air, good reason to linger,
shoulder to shoulder with our backs to back,
we took each moment, never were we slack,
soon it was midnight and the clock struck twelve,
she kissed my cheek and took of her silk glove,
end of evening but beginning of love…
….
that’s the reason, I love the South of France,
speak no French but fell in love with a dance!
