World In Conflict

wave me a light in midst of gloom,
boundless your mercy, give me room,
candle I light for you with hope,
oh! please my Lord, throw us a rope!

world is torn asunder by hate,
evil rides the stallion called fate,
devil is master, none can cope,
oh, please my lord, throw us a rope!

innocents die ere they can smile,
their mother’s besides in a pile,
those who survive, there is no scope,
oh, please my lord, throw us a rope!

you created us in few days,
can resolve this in quicker ways,
show us light, in darkness we grope,
oh, please my lord, throw us a rope!

One of the best, as acclaimed by your win Krish. Very poignant for the times. I hope I can recognize and catch that rope if it's thrown! Congratulations! :)

This is a very beautiful kyrielle with a beautiful refrain, "oh, please my lord, throw us a rope!" Congratulations! I enjoy reading your poems. I am not finding them for long. Continue writing.

Dear Krish, a prayerful poetic plea soulfully composed. Indeed, the "world (is) in conflict" and your poignant verse brings the horrid feeling into focus. A unique and timely poem of October's turmoiled story. Congratulations for your win in Gina's contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Krish, your deeply spiritual poem conveys a powerful message about the terror in the world and that we must PRAY. Congrats on your win. Janice
