Life and Death
eons, millenniums have gone, since they were.
nothing of them remains, not a distant memory.
memories that were, have faded, not a thread!
yet they were like us once buzzing with life,
and we would be like them millenniums hence,
so what is your journey today, where do you go?
why do you stop by that stone to shed tears?
with a child by your side, looking up at you?
Take her hand and walk her home, to the future,
where hopes still live, dreams wait to be born,
your foot prints are fading, as time sweeps past,
there are no excuses for regrets, just thoughts,
that come and flicker away, never to return,
ocean waves of minds that swirl and die down,
only to give way to new currents.
take her home to nourish and help her grow,
so she can walk the distance that you can no
longer walk. It will soon be time for you to stop!
This is the map of each journey that has been,
yours, mine, and many more that are yet to be!
