An aged rusty bed and two pairs of worn out shoes A clear sign of human presence and we wonder at the life that was here The umbilical cord that binds us to the past Was everything genuinely better in "the old days" ? 14/05/2021 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved Poem Of The Day -15/05/2021

So beautiful! Love the shoes under the bed...the bed like a grave with seeds that sprout. Perhaps there were no “good day” Perhaps, upon reflection they are all “good days” Congratulations on POTD, dear one!

Every age has its mysteries -- we can learn much of benefit by simply observing the sensitive, endearing nature of others. Your flower bed is a perfect example. Have a beautiful, blossom filled day!!

Depends on how you look at it, I suppose. Those that had to use an outhouse and the rotary telephone will say, "the good ole days weren't that great." This is so beautifully written and presented. Congratulations Anne-Lise, on Poem of the Day. ~ Brandy

- When you mention the phone, Brandy ... we spend way too much time on the phone today ... if we look around ... 99% of people are busy with their mobile phone ... scary! - Thank you very much for your visit and congratulations :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

- There is a lot that has become easier these days, with newfound technology and tremendous advances - We live longer, have made many diseases harmless, and most of us live with far better prosperity than the generations before us ... I would not replace everything ... but we have forgotten much that is important, Paula :) - Many thanks for the comments and congratulations :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
