Butterfly Butterfly- Tell Me How
Myriad colours on wings so light,
slender legs on petals to alight,
visual treat when in multitude,
signature of nature’s aptitude,
butterfly, butterfly, where to now?
symbol of beauty, grace! tell me how?
on tender wings you journey so far,
between continents, distance no bar,
boast no ego, no muscles to show,
on life’s ordained path, you gently flow,
butterfly, butterfly, where to now?
symbol of beauty, grace! tell me how?
across the river to waiting meadows,
fresh flowers wave numerous hellos!
sweetness that fill the juicy apples,
of your creative work, good examples,
butterfly, butterfly, where to now?
symbol of beauty, grace! tell me how?
you fill my heart with divinity pure,
for humanity’s sins, God sent cure,
ruins of war, horrors of civilisation,
history of man from first temptation!
butterfly, butterfly, where to now?
symbol of beauty, grace! tell me how?
Alight on me and let time pass by,
let my thoughts grow wings and with you fly,
take me to the core of your tender heart,
of your beautiful world let me be a part,
butterfly, butterfly, please stay now!
oh, angel from heaven! tell me how?
