An Invitation For Euthanasia

I sent an invitation to all my friends to come and watch me die I said, I know you may all be busy but please at least try. with the last breath our story is done, but I hope we shall remain friends our love should last beyond the grave, though earth’s journey is at an end. you may hold my hand or just look but make sure you are there, decades of friendship cannot be ignored I know how much you care. time has hurried past lanes of living, some moments remain still in a daze, that youth, my love, torments and taunts, all that time lost in meaningless chase. tears are okay but smiles are the best when you come to watch me die in passing we enter God’s eternal rest, so please come friends, do try. written 4/02/22

tears are okay but smiles are the best Isn't it amazing how we react to death, some of us smile some of us cry, saying goodbye is never easy my friend, You wrote a very weighty meaningful poem that we can all relate too. lovely

Thanks Mystic! Indeed, Euthanasia when legalised- people may get such difficult invites!
