Life
Life, it ends.
that is the absolute truth about life.
we cannot change it, ever!
scientists may dream and claim otherwise!
but it will and should always end!
the sum total of it therefore remains zero!
it starts from and ends as zero!
do all you can between the two!
the sum total is still zero!
have you counted all you have gained?
have you ensured inheritance?
do you know the many who have done exactly the same
before you?
do you know their names?
well our names will be added to theirs.
I never stop to read the names on tombstones!
it is a memory of people who loved!
life is that brief flash of conscious awareness,
between the reality of non-existence!
only for us to learn that
we are but part of this unending universe!
Call it God, or whatever you like!
That is only a belief!
Use your awareness to appreciate the
creation we are part of!
Do not waste it in combative hatred,
or in pursuit of things that have no value!
The value of the most precious gem is zero!
the only thing of value, is the next breath,
and the moment that follows!
Everything else is an interminable, infinite zero!
zero multiplied by zero only begets zero!
Learn to respect life, all lives, all forms!
respect the nonliving forms in nature too!
because we come from them and go back to them!
