I’M RUNNING A GODDAMNED UNIVERSE CUT ME SOME SLACK!!!

I can’t imagine 
how painful it is to 
be God. 

Trying your hardest 
to make a beautiful painting, 
only to have the characters 
you created complain and 
mock the world around 
them. 

Why does God let bad things 
happen to good people? 

Pretty sure you’d walk 
away from the canvas too 
if it spat back

I must have promised

I must have promised to diligently strive
to get up each morning by half past five.
Drink my java, watch the news, keep
things quiet and let her snooze..
Wash up at our bathroom sink but keep
the faucet trickling so she gets a full drink..
Serve her a chicken pate dish, never meat
and seldom fish..

I heard someone say
just the other day

“I really feel that
I should do this...
but I'm pulled the other way”

As if we are caught
in a web of our making
all tangled up
in each others strings

Twisted and manipulated
into certain duties
when our efforts
would be better spent
on more important things

Judging, demanding
not understanding
we all have

	A dollar this time.

Ship me a grasshopper

Moaning is their best activity

Sunday Slack Attack

Wouldn't you know it

don't tell me you don't ever

feel this way

after lunch, particularly

on Sundays

I find motivation lacking

just want to veg out

even have a sleep

but usually the phone rings

just when you're in

that limbo state

where the mind lets go

and the daydream ideas flow

good and odd inspiration

for poems

off the wall

jolts you

back to reality
