Time to take my patch off, I’ve been somewhat wobbly
Everything beautiful, everything bright,
So much clearer in black and white,
No double vision this time, I promise you honestly,
During my op visited our galaxy, am addicted to astrology

the dog’s dreaded cone is off
I am keeping a close eye out
Attempting to keep him from licking his wounds.
Post op surgery is less fun than surgery
of course neither is a carnival
my newly neutered dog is supposed to wear the cone for a week
or ten days
He had surgery forty-six hours ago
He has taken the cone off three times
It causes him lots of stress
We have ordered an inflatable cone
It will be here tomorrow
In the meantime I am urging him to rest and sleep
as he licks his wounds, ignoring my pleas for him to stop

Anxiety
Blood pressure soaring
What are they going to say?
Are they going to poke and prick me again?
There's no where to hide in this room!

Local Business Man Saved By A Foreign Woman

Bussing immigrants to high-end neighborhoods makes immigration status worse. After an Ecuadorian women gave Heimlich to a man choking on a Scampi, she was once again bussed elsewhere without a single thank you. People in these areas reported people being saved by these immigrants. FYI: everyone in America are immigrants

CONTRI and DISTRI
Someone somewhere decided English
needed to be changed.
As usual with our copy-cat world, so dire
an unthinking band wagon has spread as
a forest fire.
An academic,typically verbose, wrote
'why use one when two' could sound
more up-to-date and new!
Thus the 'double prefix' was conceived
and sadly like a Topsy grew.
Contri and Distri have wrongly become
the norm and vernacular pronunciation
overcoming like a desert storm.
English does indeed each day live
and breathe ... BUT..
one thought with you I leave..
a double pre-fix cannot be ..
ignorance is not bliss..you see?
CON & DIS are prefixes to, for example
 English words like TRIBUTE.
however 'Contri and Distri' are not prefixes
to any known English word,
they are a 'modern' 'madhatter syllabic nonsense'
straight out of Lewis's 'Alice in Wonderland'.
Another 'modern affectation' like the pronunciation
of the letter 'H' as 'haitch' instead of 'aitch'.

It's hard to explain why we complain
In any work together we do.
Each of means by "we" the same;
I mean "I" and you mean me , too!

Post Op

All senses suspended
I float in a deliciously numbing void
The return to consciousness is slow
Small unaccountable sounds assail
My brain
Olfactory nerves sense strange smells
It’s the optic senses that awaken last
Eyelids feel like one ton weights pressing down
Gigantic effort to life one up
A harsh white blinding radiance
Hits my optic nerves
Slowly I perceive tubes and machines
Around me
The picture coheres
Into an ICU
I am en route to recovery post op

The Canadien Seal Hunt by The Humane Society

Warmingly, a seal

pup, heedlessly, greets strangers

who clubbed it to death.

Photo Op Stop

We made a stop
For a photo op
By a lovely glacier lake.

Our tour group posed
And we supposed
A nem'ry was at stake.

The sun appeared
And we all cheered.
(Our smiles we didn't fake.)

The gorgeous view,
The glacier blue -
A picture meant to take.

We do not know
(One week to go)
If friendships we will make...

But in my book
Some day I'll look,
Remembering that lake.

Chip and Dale live on in every chipmunk.
My gutters are a playground;
My camera delights.

Photo Op

With time to kill, I hit the zoo
And mingled with the tourists, who
Took selfies near the sea lion pool,
Behavior I’d not ridicule.

But what I did find quite amusing
And, at first, a bit confusing,
Was the focus of a crowd
Which oohed and aahed both long and loud.

It was a squirrel up a tree,
With tail that twitched for all to see;
Yet penguins, lemurs, grizzly bears
Did not attract those types of stares.

Perhaps if I lived in a place
Where squirrels didn’t dash and race,
I, too, would grin in pure delight
At such a common New York sight.

A Hundred Poems - Ode To Etudes Op 25 No 12 In C Minor - Chopin

Passion
     whither is thy heavenly gift
 Beg
I doth for pastures of romance
Love thee -- angel followeth me too
 Kindness
     compassion for all thy life
 Understanding
     wisdom from burning fire
 Heaven
thou, dream I giveth prayer to thee
 Love
is thy reason for living life
 and desire for love
 escapes thy flesh
 afire angelic wings
 kissing devil's lips
 a Christ-passion
 for all high and base!
