Ayaba, Let's go to Oniru beach
Where I can be your man, and you my ,
With the waters splashing on our feet,
Ayaba Let's ensure boredom suffers defeat;
While the palm fronds clap and whistle around,
And the ambiance of paradise abound,
We fit take time chop some jollof rice,
Fried tolo tolo overdosed with spice;
African queen is what the JBL

Beach, Lo Yonder

I viewed an ocean that I could not reach.
Water beckoned me but my path was blocked.
The rocky boulders protected the beach,
Leaving me a glimpse from my window panes.
The rocks seemed to smile at me whom they mocked,
And when the clouds greyed, it gave me remorse
That my travels were stopped by rock's cruel chains,
And I chose

Undeniable

Met you on Thursday,
'Cause it was the heart day.

You don’t not like so —
Sushi — my type.
For every date, is there anything you’d bite
Sushi body — You must like it, right?
Night-long calls,
Somebody’s sleeping tight.

Stories flying high, I rambled on —
The sky my stage,
From page to page.
You must have listened,
Eyes that glow...?
Turns out you dozed off

A kitty’s soft purr 
endearing murmur;
Happiness so pure 
leads me to grin;

That very slow blink,
perfect nose so pink;
My trusty sidekick 
knows how to win;

You sleep beside me 
lounging lazily
or run playfully;
It doesn’t cease;

Lo fi existence,
no knowledge of tense;
Fun’s bound to commence,
cats rhyme with peace.

My tears flew like streams.

How beautiful my dreams had been!

Emi Lo Kan - It's My Turn

EMI LO KAN (It's My Turn)

What is "Emi lo kan"?
It is a selfish assertion,
It connotes one's right,
the selfishness that makes a man 
put himself first before his nation.
To put one's ambition and personal interest 
ahead of that of the common good...
It's adherence to individuality 
rather than positive collectivity.
Do we take TURNS where power is SHARED?

Faster!  faster!!  faster!!! 
Screaming in piercing silence 
Rising up to the matter 
Like eating delicious dinner in trance 

Harder!  harder!!  harder!!! 
Crying to check its validity 
While the feeble light causes disaster 
But doesn't want a jest of its ability

Panting for ticket into the stadium

Lo, Thy Mirthels

lo, thy mirthels cascade heaven's sounds
tinkling, dancing, weightless o'er the cliff in bliss
glimmer more as they propel to ground
touch down lightly with a gentle kiss.

In His Faithful Service Collections

Lo, Stumbling Stones Love Me Still

Those that praise my pen too far and quick,
Innocent but perhaps make me weak. 

Those that scraps and crumbs about me keep, 
Slights and snubs of theirs do make me sick.

Journey’s end— end of all juice we sip,
Thanks Lord, ways of life winding to keep.   

Willingly whose shoulders bear huge load,
Repeated rounds on

Lo Those Angels Kiss Me-

Volunteers rain down on me
Gentle warm kisses softly the breeze
Settlement flashes bright solar streams
I missed the gathering tweeting birds sing

And I acknowledge I am a follower
I confess I am a lone survivor
And as I witness all of this
Waiting sweet angels kiss

I relinquish

I partake of the Angels kisses
