Just because you don’t understand the question
                                                

A Medley of Monoku-ku

My soul aches to know
                               What those that don’t know
               

Dark Hai-Ku

Carry me home boys,
for the war is over and I...
cannot feel my legs!

Dark phantom figures,
play dice games on people's heads...
to see who is next!

Stands a dark angel,
down the road waiting to see...
the whites of our eyes!

On a war-torn field,
stands a shrine for the children...
where one shoe was found!

Proof is the sunset,
that one more day I

Tri-Ku

Now that I am old,
I can look back and relive...
all the stories told!

The fantastic days,
and the awesome adventures...
when life came to play!

Behind a late sky,
lies the first sight of heaven...
where men learn to fly!

Hi-Five Hai-ku

Problems pass on by,
they are hard to hold onto...
when now never ends!

In this dark mansion,
phantoms of fear are vanquished...
by the flames of faith!

We part the Red Sea,
of flesh and blood to escape...
our evil pharaohs!

Points of light appear,
where the velvet sky wears thin...
and heaven shines through!

The light it shall come,
shining in the eastern sky...
betrothed to the

COLD-KU

Idle nests linger
Fledgling feathers learn to fly
Angry winds scowl


The old bell shivers
Its tone muted in the cold
A fox perks its ears


A lost mitten weeps 
What am I going to be
A field mouse moves in


An icy moon
A symphony of shadows
Nature’s nocturne

Five Ku

autumn ambles slowly
shuffling through fallen leaves
dodging Winter’s kiss

crumpled pumpkins frown
sparrows await a sunrise
a barn cat stretches

seagulls battle gusts
crabs wander an empty beach
icy froth glistens

as wolves sniff the wind
cowering beneath its howl
a cold hunger waits

a lone snowy owl
shakes the frost from its feathers
in frigid silence

Double-Ku

Worrisome wind-whipped waves warring weakened wetlands without wavering

A Haggle of Hai-ku

I went to heaven, 
but the weight of all the love...
pulled me back to Earth!

I can't remember,
just one time without trouble...
and no end in sight!

The mystics suffer,
naked upon tall mountains...
in case they see god!

The color of blue,
became my favorite color...
when first our eyes met!

Even the leaves of gold,
must vie to rest in gutters...
on the sides

Ess Ku
