i want to lead a life that's resolute

The Bearing To Focus

Pains are supposed lifetime teachers,
Teachers that connect mind to soul.
Soul, mind connects unto preachers,
Towards time... life lessons made whole.

Pains are pieces of peaceful storm...
Comfort's steeze can not regulate,
Or by any means can reform;
All stings, life's fate violate.

Each never come to mount limit,
Rather shapes mind not to get lost
Of strength wearing out to be fit

It's Time That I Focus On Me

I always had that inner quality of putting others first
I'll become anything needed from a mom to a nurse
I'm so busy with others that i don't get what i need
I think it's about that time that i just focused on me

Sad can permeate,
Grey, dank days create,

It's ok. Breathe in. Let go
What is meant to be, will be
So just let it be so 

Some are meant to be in our lives
Some maybe not 
Don't get caught up in pleasing others 
It will cause your thoughts to clot

The Climb

When you reach
the top of the mountain
remember it is not about the mountain

It is about the legs that did not fail you

It is about the sun that lit your way

It is about the wind that served your momentum

It is about the focus that empowered your stay

It is about the lesson that cleared your vision

In the darkroom of my mind, your photo still develops
A snapshot of you sears my brain
Fighting so hard to let it go
The artist within me cannot fathom

From zero to fresh focus:

Shuffle, I shuffle through the haze; Stopping just short of the light.
I reach up, only stabbing with splinters the tiny fractions of time.  It's this, this, this, and that.
