Drunken Art Dunk

DRUNKEN ART DUNK (D.A.D)

THEY DO THEM, I DO ME.
They dunk!
Am art-drunk!!
They leap!
My art endowments are ocean drip!
They slam it..!
Am artistically jamming!!!
Some ball watching!
Am balling & rushing.
THEY DO THEM, I DO ME!

Pieces

PIECES

Life is a puzzled piece
Striding to fix our scattered equation
We're all fixing our lives
Because none was plain & made on arrival
To this galaxy called Earth
We all came to fix our puzzle
Torn before the face of nature
Our canvasses are now congested
From childhood innocence
With painting and hating,
Broken hedges and images,
With letters and fetters,
With stains and pains,
With scooped sheets of artistic work;
The imperfections of an artist, mortality of man.
Life is like an art mirror;
Check yourself, draw, paint yourself,
Design yourself, scoop yourself or screw yourself.
If I was a scattered face of aesthetic being
Would you find me, would you fix me?
Life is hard enough but we're tough enough
Zeal and zest not cast off.
We will fix our scattered souls,
To sail through until fulfilment.

She Known By Me

So nicely you came,
You I can't hold to blame,
Because you bare no shame,
And nothing of yours is of shame,
And your reasons aren't that lame.

I like you,
I feel comfortable around you,
Close to my heart I will keep you,
Cherish you,
And a Regina I might make, you.

Nothing is ever clean,
And again nothing is easy even to wean,
But you look like a champion, one who can win,
One who can not fall even without a place to lean,
And of all I love that you are keen.

I don't want to say it yet,
But hope by then it won't be that late,
For us, it, to let,
Or even that house to let,
But still my best you will remain yet.

A Short Prelude To Baya Bird

A short Prelude to Baya Bird

The Poem is inspired by a photo of Baya Bird placed on face book. The beautiful picture of Baya bird can be seen on following URL:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=456119468060086&set=gm.1021617874633531&type=3&theater

A short Prelude to Baya Bird
.
What an unparalleled charisma of Nature
A small tiny bird has made this wonderful
Piece of Nature's pleasing unique wonder. 01
.
How do you get all these straws by your efforts
Then you weave them like a skilled weaver
These are not nest but they are the
Art monuments of Nature. 02
.
After watching such beautiful nest I wish
How wonderful it would be, if I could live
For few days with you, O bird
To see how beautiful is your world. 03
.
Alas ! If all the little children could have lived near you for some time
Will the new generation would save you from diminishing, O' sweet bird
This thought comes to mind, whenever I see you O' bird Baya. 04

Like Ferlinghetti, I Am Waiting

I am waiting for 60 Minutes to run out the clock
and I am waiting for Old Media to request end-of-life counseling
and I am waiting for NASA to announce an imminent extinction event
and I am waiting for the FCC to scrap its plan to monitor thought waves
And I am really waiting for someone to interrupt Bill O’Reilly

I am waiting for Wolf Blitzer to screw up one morning and shave
and I am waiting for GM to admit the Volt was not grounded in reality
and I am waiting for Madonna to say she’s mad as hell and she’s not gonna shake it anymore
and I am waiting for a priest, a rabbi, and a mullah to walk into a bar
And I am really really waiting for the day when humor is color-blind

Inspired by the poem I Am Waiting by Lawrence Ferlinghetti,
from A Coney Island of the Mind (1958)

In Defense of General Motors

In Defense of General Motors

By Elton Camp

Thirteen people are out of luck
About a part costing under a buck

For ten years, GM knew about it
To their customers didn’t shout it

They were in the profit-making game
So who can rightfully cast any blame

Public safety has to take second place
Angry shareholders they have to face

Admitting a defect might hurt sales
And accepting blame it also entails

In GM’s defense, there’s lots to say
Most of their cars didn’t do that way

Steering, brakes, air bags worked well
Those facts it’s important also to tell

Even if a few people had to die
To protect profits they had to try

Big Business has always been that way
So for GM, let’s hear a loud “Hooray!”

Ready and Willing To Work

The job search continues, though unemployment has run out
For me, accepting a government handout set a precedent
If only the largest corporations are to qualify for bailouts
Then I’d like to shake up Washington and run for president

Not of the United States, no, I don’t want Obama’s job
But I’d like to take the reins of a business with some courage
To refuse taxpayer money like Ford, not GM on the rob
Like the public, I’d heal corporate wounds with my own bandage

Now I fill my hours volunteering for various causes
Senior centers and children’s groups show appreciation
Operating in the red, they are used to accepting losses
And in my heart I receive a different type of compensation

"What did you mean 'nobody?' Why don't you count them?"
"Oh, I-uh, I didn't know we had to..."
"You didn't, know...look...we're GLOBE minds..."
"Relax. You're getting awfully emotional for a globe mind."

"You're right. I'm sorry. Y'know it's not easy being a globe mind."
"I know..."

May Day 2009

All day I stared at the blank world
And could not tell
The words invisible in my hell
I waited for the sounds of emergency
The blinking eyes and flashing red
The petals crushed upon the ground
I waited in vain
Excoriated by pain
Carrying the debris in my brain
Of great structures of falsity
Crushing indescriminately the workers
Of Chrysler, GM and the hollow economy
Splintering their dreams
Into shards unjubilant
And I could not understand the world
Without smoke
The silence of the mighty Pele
The river a toxic brown not red
And this is May
So marginal to the memory
The horror that workers saw
When they begged justice for bread
What May is this
That does not cry everywhere
For workers and their leaders dead?
All day only my pen
Dared march the white edge of history
The fragrance of teargas
The fumes of petals crushed
Under the boots of my poetry.
All day they invented a virus
To scare the world inside
But I am a steel man
And bring no flowers to the deal.
