”Existence, consciousness and bliss are the longings of the human heart.
“Ananda, bliss, is the contentment of heart attained by the ways and means suggested by the Savior, the Sat-Guru.
Chit, true consciousness, brings about the compete destruction of all troubles and the rise of all virtues.
Sat, existence, is attained by realization of the permanency of the soul.
These three qualities constitute the real nature of man.
All desires being fulfilled, and all miseries removed, the achievement of Paramartha (the highest goal) is made.”
~ extract from ‘The Holy Science’
quiescent heart ushers bliss
whence we see we’re all of this
form and the unmanifest
in God Who’s always at rest
in form we have sensations
caused by soundless vibrations
when our will to God we bend
in staid stillness we transcend
rest knowing conceptual
getting to the factual
enabled when we let go
of the maverick ego
we exist beyond space-time
where yet resounds bliss beat’s chime
truth of Self, simple and stark
is our true Self is God’s spark

After he died, I'm always drinking.
After she died, I'm always smoking.
Because what use is a life worth living
If I cannot numb the grief I am feeling.
After he died, I'm always wondering
What could've been if everything was improving.
After she died, I'm always being
A better person for those worth loving.
After he died, I was always crying
About how he could have gone on living.
After she died, I was always questioning
If the addictions we have are worth anything.
After he died, I wondered why it's worth continuing
The legacy he left behind, but it's not for nothing.
After she died, I wonder if I held any meaning
In her life that was so sadly so fleeting.
After he died, I learned how to keep living
My own life despite my heart's grieving.
After she died, I learned how life has meaning
Even when we feel there is nothing but suffering.

A(nother) (Sh*tty) Sonnet
Cute girl who works the local liquor store
counter, I wonder sometimes how I strike
you.—am I happy in your eyes?—do you like
to speak, when daily, as a steady chore,
I stroll onto your heavenly sales floor?
(You said it was another day (yes fake)
‘in paradise’, in answer to my joke.—
—and then I left with my usual four.).
Reality looks (more (something)) like this:
biting my nails until they burn like hell,
eating my nervous thoughts,—binging and purging
on romance,—and on a deathly scourging
of emotional detachment. O’, belle,
there’s nothing more I miss than someone‘s kiss.

If unexpectedly I were to die,
then this at least is here for all to see -
something of mine, a collection of what was I;
to survive the flesh, what could beat poetry?
Hubris begs me "Don't leave this world unknown!"
In secret I agree, but as for pride,
it tugs my sleeve and beckons with a groan,
"Are you worthy of such a haughty stride?"
Thus, I compromise, only my best work
will here be shown. The rest I’ll bring along,
gravebound for that eternal gloomy murk
beyond the mortal, to the ghastly throng.
Alas, the end is nigh, the poem closes,
I only ask my tomb be strewn with roses.

Two decades and one, we've shared this ride,
Through laughter, tears, with love as our guide.
The years have flown, but still we stand,
Hand in hand, heart to heart, our love so grand.
We've built a life, a story to tell,
In every moment, in every spell.
From the first hello to this love we've grown,
Together we've flourished, together we've flown.
Through the highs and the lows, we've found our way,
Every dawn a promise, every night a stay.
The world may change, seasons may turn,
But in your love, I forever yearn.
Here’s to the years, to the memories so sweet,
To the future ahead, to the love we repeat.
For 21 years, we’ve made this life ours,
A love that’s timeless, that blooms like flowers.
Happy Anniversary, my forever friend,
May our love continue, with no end.

Drip. Drop.
Spring again.
Last year they left.
This year we met.
Sweet blossoms and smoke mix in the air.
I ask myself why I chase ashes.

November 21, 1963
He took the harmonica
from the bib pocket of his overalls
blew thru left to right, low to high
back and forth a couple times,
slapped it on his palm
like he’d tamp his cigarette,
one of those unfiltered Camels
on his dulled dented Zippo.
He blew a quick riff up the scale,
inhaled it back down,
spun his harmonica around
slapped it a couple more times,
stopped as if thinking
about what he’d play
then smile that smile he’d smile
while looking at her,
start in on The Tennessee Waltz
watching her stand up, close her eyes,
hug herself and sway.
As he played he moved to her side
wrapping his left arm around her waist,
she draped both arms on his shoulders
and they glided around the living room
in a world of their own
viewed by us six kids,
all of us grinning and smirking
and making kissy faces
watching mom and dad,
mom singing the words
motioning us all up to dance
that night we stayed up late
that night before
president Kennedy was killed.

Happy birthday to you all.
To everyone who was born on this day.
To International women day.
It is a wonderful day to celebrate.
Privately or publicly.
You shall have at least a present if not two.
No matter where you are at this moment,
You deserve to enjoy the celebration.
As you are one year older
You should be a bit wiser.
Did you know that,
Wisdom grows every 7 years.
I wish you could see your love one,
To wish you Happy birthday in person.
And giving you some birthday presents.
Best wishes. Happy everyday and always.

In the marathon of time
a sunset is but a meter,
gone in the click of a finger.
But it stretches across the horizon
from both ends of the sky,
and if you were to chase it
you would find
it only grows dimmer.

Once too I hung on the brink
listening to the melancholy cry of seagulls,
their white bodies strewn out like prayer flags,
tiny on the surface of the sea.
Wishing I could cast all of life's pain away,
a heavy shipment of regrets and shattered promises,
let it all sail far away.
In a desolate harbour enlightened only by the moon,
a lone shadow casts itself onto the weed-strewn pavement.
Feet itching to move but the brain with no destination to speak of.
Flee to the sea or hide at home?
Once too I stood on that abyss,
always wondering about the end
yet never of creating a new beginning.
Poets question why our heart aches,
pessimists say we've long forgotten our dreams,
I ask why I wake up every morning.
Until you made me understand.
Your smile, ethereal beams of light,
breaking through the morning frost of night.
Your voice, a beckoning bell.
Like a child, learning how to walk,
I stumble and crawl away from the darkness.
You called upon happiness from the depths of my heart
where I didn't know it could ever exist.

As the pale apricot sunrises
casting glowing illuminations
all around
Revealing thick creek rise
from the storms
that rolled around
Hoar's frost has
wet dew bound
so, there isn't a dripping dew sound
Oh! bitter cold morn
gnawing at my face
when will spring surface?
Shivering from the cold
close the door
and go inside

I was skating on Saturn’s rings,
Ice shards tunnelling into my vision
Like blistering diamond tears
Melting away into a brilliant blue.
I was skating on Saturn’s rings,
Looked up and saw the mighty giant.
It smiled at me through its great eye,
decorated with lashes of pure golden beige.
I was skating on Saturn’s rings,
Is that even possible?
I looked towards the Earth.
And you were thinking about me.
