The Long Winter Night
The long Winter night is indeed long
For the raven in swift motion
For now has gone
As moonlit fields lie in bitter freeze
The Long Night Moon of shadowed intent
Climbs between the frigid trees
For the raging winds of memories lost
Pushing snow drifts from mountain tops
Lies upon our souls a bitter frost
And death now our only thought
