The Beauty In Our Sadness
The Beauty in Our Sadness
When we are born and take our breath of first
the stop watch that is life starts keeping time.
In sadness we’ll feel want, desire and thirst.
Yet smile again when everything is fine.
The beauty in our sadness will soon show
as we are pressed between the good and bad,
and when the years are long and steps are slow
we’ll relish all the pleasures we have had.
So, life is to be lived regardless of
the setbacks and the pain that are the risks
and even in the playing fields of love
there is a sadness, sacrifice yet bliss.
Let's toast to life with all its ups and downs,
the beauty in its sadness, smiles and frowns.
