I originally wrote this poem as a Than-Bauk for a contest, but I just felt the poem wanted to say more. So here is an alternative, longer version which contains much more of what I really wanted to write in the original. It's about a hill that overlooks my hometown, Bruton, in Somerset, England. From there, you can see the whole town, the backdrop for most of my youth. I still don't live too far from there, and I find that view really rather comforting.
