Medical Marijuana Contest Winners - Michael Jordan's Blog

        I just completed judging my contest. A Rambling Poet is the winner, congratulations Constance. It was a close and very hard decision. I must say that I'm surprised by the number of people for it. I really thought that more people would have entered this contest but I reckon its a subject some like to keep to themselves.
        I have many mixed emotions regarding this subject. I feel it is the lesser of the evils out there, however it is an evil non-the-less. The reason I feel this way is because it will hinder the user from reaching their full potential. I'm fairly certain if I still smoked pot my life would have never reached the point it has.
        As with all addictive substances some folk can be "Functional addicts," while others lives fall completely apart. Also, as with all things that offer the delusion of a "high" crime will always be lurking around it. Many "Growers" become the victims of home invasion robbery's , due to the lure of easy money. All I know is that I'm trying hard to make sure my children don't fall prey to the lifestyle I once lived, because the one true high in this life comes from honest living. Most of the people I know who smoke pot, smoke it to get high. Sure their Medical 215 cards say its for Medical reasons, but all bull____ aside its for the cash and the high. Same as its always been.
        As for me my life has become far to busy and I have far to many goals to be sitting around smoking pot, besides I have found the one true high in life and it cost narry a dime, nor does it bring along bad things with it. This is the high only Christ, hard work, honest living and pride in oneself can offer. The one true natural high doesn't have to be grown or manufactured, it is born within, and only good things come with it. God Bless you all, mj
