A Dream of Mother

Breezes of a summer night, gently blew into my open bedroom window as i laid there so restless and desperately trying to bring sleep to my weary soul. Eyes closing, sending me to a land i once walked, places where i lived, peace and contentment, flooded my soul as, i saw my mother's smiling face. of her telling me, how she loved and missed me, hoping i was getting along ok, feeling of joy swept me away, as a sun beam touched my face, to a most dear and beautiful day, felt better than i had in years, knowing life had more things in store for me, that i needed to move on. wrote 3-29-11

Many poets have books for sale on Amazon.Com and Barnes & Nobel. It sounds to me like you had better gather your materials for you are not one among many but rather many among the One and that's You.....Judy

Such a moving poem, James. My mother is still alive, but I can certainly imagine feeling that way some day.

You must have loved your mother as all of us Christians have. An having that love that no one has for you except the Father, keep the pen aglow and keep up this very good work.God bless

James, I do believe the spirits of departed loved ones come to us when we are experiencing a crisis. I had a similar dream about my mother and she just assured me I was doing the right thing. I'll never forget the way she looked sitting next to me on the bed surrounded by a golden glow. Perhaps it was more than a dream for both of us? Compelling poem. Love, Carolyn
