Speaking of Love

My wife and I have seen it all
The very spot were demons call

No will to leave or will to fight
Two lost souls living in the night

But in each other what we found
Two beating hearts one single sound

I love her more than words can say
She is the light that guides my way

She is the light that guides my path
She is the numbers in my math

If one plus one then equals two
She’s the meaning of all I do

She’s the smile that starts my day
The sunset that fades it away

Of all we do and all we are
Know my wife is my guiding star

For her I shall be all I can
A kind and gentle loving man

Our love is written in the stars
Our love has melted prison bars

Our love overcame addiction
Stronger than any affliction

Stronger than any test of time
All things from God end up divine

See that’s the blessing of our love
A divine gift from God above

What I cherish the most in life
I am a man who loves his wife

She is the better half of me
Always has been, always will be

Speaking on love all I can say
She made me all I am today
