Dear Lord

Dear Lord,

I come to you with a special need
Please keep me humble as I succeed
My Lord within the breath of this prayer
For all those in need I offer care
The elderly call me when in need
Lord, forever help me plant thy seed
I pray dear Lord to never forget
The things in my life that I regret
Let me use those things so I can be
Forever serving you humbly

Very uplifting, Mr. Jordan. Now I see why U are a Favorite on the soup. You sure are going down as 1 of my favorites. This has been an honor to read. I also want to thank U for the nice and positive comments you always return. I am so glad U found your way to God, I am still searching. I may say U are a very inspiring man for never looking down on us poets. I do recall the comment on my Joker poem. You have traveled down the same road many are lost in. Thank U for your encouraging comments,p.d.

The Dante, Shakespeare, Byron, and all else had a driving passion ... a consuming past, and God choosing you did not only lay his prayers on your breast, but gave you the past as fiery test ... and from where I write ... you are every mettle of man, worthy of the holy flame, and this poem proves it again.

Beautiful prayer, Michael! Each day we must remind ourselves that our strength and power come from Him...lest we come to think that we no longer need Him! Congrats on your win in Brian's contest! Hugs, Donna

Amen, Michael. I grew up in an Atheist country where religion was totally discouranged. And those guilty of this "crime" were executed on Christmas day 1998. Coincidence? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. Love, Iolanda
