Redneck Love Song

I love the way you turn me on
When we sit on our sofa on the lawn

Your breakfast is the greatest dear
Scrambled eggs and a case of beer

I listen to each breath you take
Your snoring always keeps me awake

Remember walking up the hill
To get some moonshine from the still

A romantic dinner would be so fine
Two Big Macs and a glass of shine

You scratch your butt and wash my clothes
You watch TV and pick your nose

I'll love you forever to tell the truth
And when you smile, I love your tooth.

This poem is hilarious and witty. I enjoyed It, sounds like something from blue collar radio. Loved It! I read It in my hill billy voice. :)

Hi Vincent - I usually don't comment on poetry that often anymore but - this ditty had me roaring! I'm not sure if you have ever heard of the parody artist: Bob Rivers. He takes classic oldies tunes, changes the lyrics and keeps the original arrangement in tact. Also, the singers he gets to re-record the songs sound just like the original vocalists. Look him up on Amazon. His humor is so up our alley! Wishing you & your family a Happy & Blessed Easter. Peace always, John

What you said about Morgan Freeman, Vince -- I don't know anyone who disagrees. He's top notch and I'll go see any movie he's in just to see his performance. Thanks for stopping by. Love, Carolyn

Just wanted to thank you for the comments you made on Soup admin's blog, Vince. Celene and I were targeted by an individual recently in a comment left on James Fraser's poem. We reported the incident promptly and the commenter was NOT deleted from the site. We didn't even receive an apology. I'd like to see admin stick by the rules they have set forth. Love, Carolyn
