Kissed the Sky

Two peas in a pod that would be my wife and I
We have grabbed a dream and kissed the sky

Two full-blown addict’s on a dead run
We lived our lives just to stay spun

Outlaws, lovers and partners in crime
Lost forever in the hands of time

Living just to somehow survive
Walking zombie’s barley alive

Found in each other the will to fight
Out of darkness and into the light

I love her more than words could ever say
We have helped each other live the right way

Forever bound to each other’s love
Giving Praise to the Lord above

Two peas in a pod that would be my wife and I
We have grabbed a dream and kissed the sky

Hi, Michael! Congratulations on your winning poem in Nathan's contest, " Two peas in a pod ". It is well-deserving and well-written. You are telling a story of two lost souls that found God's love and forgiveness. Leaving your past behind, and starting a new beginning by putting your trust in God to look forward to a brighter tomorrow. We all fall short of the glory of God, but repentance brings us back to Him! God bless you and your loved ones. Warmest Regards, Andrew.

Hi Michael Amazing talent you are. Such a incredible story of two hitting rock bottom and pulling yourselves up by your boot straps together in the strength of your love to overcome such a powerful addiction. What a incredible inspiration you are to all your readers. A living example that with the power of love anything is possible. Keep writing and we'll keep reading! Many blessings to you and yours my friend. Love Light Truth Patricia
