Never Learn

She caught me coming in again In the wee hours of the morn She began explaining the facts of life That’s how my shirt got torn But looking on the bright side As she removed my grin At least I understand now Why she held that rolling pin What a wonderful way to start the day After staying out late at the bars Is to start it off with a concussion Being indoors and seeing stars I said I was helping an old friend out Give me the phone and I can prove it She said sorry, I know your head hurts Bring it over here and I’ll remove it I thought to myself, she’s pretty mad And I was feeling like a jerk Starting today I’ll never come home at this time I’ll wait until she goes to work.

I got a chuckle out of this one, Vince! So the rolling pin wasn't to make a pie, but to flatten the one coming in so late? I suppose that not everyone is a cheerful morning person.:) Love the light-hearted humour of this write, I can't stop smiling! I didn't make that opening (yet), but I'm thinking that swimming and kayaking aren't the prerequisites? Best to you and yours...love Mikki

Been there, done that. Seeing stars on the inside is not my idea of star gazing. This one is really a hoot. God Bless. Ron
