Hey gang!

I hope you're all having an excellent week!

We continue the Poetry/Spoken Word online platform on Sunday, September 29th @ 8am PST (11am EST, 4pm London Time), with my special guest, Vic Pister from Vancouver, BC!!! It's going to be a USA/Canada day!

Vic was the winner of my latest "Know your Place" contest. I am proud to have this gentleman as my guest!

Because he's in Canada, I expect there to be waffles & french toast w/an unlimited supply of Canadian Maple Syrup. MMMMMMM!

Mere dreams aside, I hope you'll all be able to join me for the fun! I invite you all to call in, read a poem, & talk to us so you all can be heard. Lets continue supporting the cause & our poets to have a voice beyond a screen on the internet. Spread the word & I'll catch you all on Sunday morning! Details are below!

To listen to the show you have a few options:

Web: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/standas1 (There is a chat room where you can talk with myself and others in the chat, but you'll have to register on the site to do so. Otherwise, you'll just appear as "Guest12345" in the chat room with no ability to communicate with others).

Phone: (646) 716-4762 (You can hear the show live over the phone. If you want to actually read a poem on the air, then please be sure to press "1" and the voice prompt will confirm that you're in my Host queue to read a poem.)

Please keep in mind that all callers that want to read on my show are selected in the order they call in and who presses "1" to be placed in my queue.

I wasn't able to be here for the live broadcast......but I have just now listened in to the archive of your show from yesterday, Drake. Wow.....what a powerful and heart-rending group of poets.....each with so much passion, compassion, inspiration and wisdom..... This was the best show ever!! Congratulations to Vic...to Charma, Catie, Nikko...some of my favorite poets..yourself, of course....and Jim......omg......his last poem broke my heart, but also warmed my heart to hear his upbeat attitude. What a great example of class!! Thanks Drake for giving this opportunity to listen!

It was an incredible show with an ending I had no expectation of. It's too bad you missed it! You need to call in and read something next time, Carrie! I feel like this is the 570th time I've told you this. lol

A fine show, Drake. My congratulations. While I've said before that I enjoy and appreciate the written versions of your poems, your reading of them is amazing: The slam-like speed, powerful voice, rising timbre, passionate if unpostable passages (too bad...). Great work! Keep it up... Jack

To everybody who contributed in today's show, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an emotionally uplifting show! Vic, he was a wonderful guest. Catie, Nikko, Charmaine, & Jimbo...JIMBO!!! There was no way to end the show in any other avenue than how you did. Utterly & immensely incredible! A lot of laughs, a lot of emotions. I am so grateful for you all!

I also wasn't expecting what you shared with us, Jimbo-- mainly because whenever I hear your voice, it just brings a smile to my face-- you always sound so jolly and upbeat, so to hear that poem is so moving. And Drake-- do read the other Love Letters soon ;)

Just me popping in to say that I sure am glad to have called in! Smile inducing show as always (mixed in with some very heart-touching moving moments-- hugs to Jimbo) --- so great to hear you, Vic, dear Catie, sweet Charma, and smiley Jimbo! And thank you, Jimbo, the floods have subsided but the destruction the typhoons and monsoon rains are still so evident-- a nightmare for those affected, thank you so much for your concern-- I truly enjoy hearing you on Drake's show! Yes, so cool how we all get to hear each other through Drake's show! Thanks Drake!

Oh, Charma did you mention 'cake'??? Oh that is such a magic word! What kind of cake?? Actually, the first magic word that you used was 'neighbor'-- I am smiling here, just wishful thinking-- wouldn't that be the coolest thing if we were all neighbors? You guys are actually the awesome ones!
