You Thought You Knew

This light is all I know 
As others extinguish my sun 

They celebrate my fall 
While my voice aches to ascend 

And all I see are faint smiles 
Behind their cracked facade 

They apologize with crystallized hypocrisy 

But, I will overcome. 

For they make it so...
