Keep the 'Change'

Can the world enunciate its feelings
towards a volatile emptiness

If we dared to visualize
the frothing of inevitability's smile
would it be enough

Would the barriers,
constructed by animosity's lament,
listen to reason
if dollar signs didn't taste so lustfully acidic

How could we learn to build,
if all we did was preach false pretenses

If it is said that chasing your dreams
would cost you dearly,
why can't “wisdom” be soulfully freed
of leather whipped wallets
and just show us the way

Could past-tensed smiles of the poor & meek,
really embrace the poorly meek, presently?

Does the alleged understanding
of a broken, budgetary embrace,
matter when they screw elaborated currencies?

If their heart was in the right place,
why do their crossed fingers point left...behind

When will mind over matter,
matter?

If our veritable presence is welcomed with open arms,
why would it be removed before one could say goodbye?

Another "check", bounced...

...keep your "change".

Very political and hard-hitting for the state of humanity, presently. Love the way your mind works. "Does the alleged understanding of a broken, budgetary embrace, matter when they screw elaborated currencies" ... I watched a video on the inside "scoop" of how the Federal Reserve works, and let me tell you, Charles Ponzi has nothing on that sorry mess. "When will mind over matter, matter?" You pour out frustration while simultaneously educate and make me reflect. You're an all-arounder, Drake.

Yeah, I never even thought about that perspective of my writing. That's quite true though. I seldom talk about political ANYTHING as it's no good for my youthful skin. Thank you so much, Tim! :D

I remember seeing "keep the change" ads after Obama became president, so I assumed it was gonna be about that. But it turned out to be much more interesting.

You play with words...oh how you play... love those two lines about the past-tensed smiles...incredible placement of words and concept play. You rock. Then that grand finale...
