Into You

Cohabitating with your floral penance, I slow grind With Memories All metaphorical bets, Off Jumping head first Another solemn wish Unto you To caress my smile Another didactic breath For your silky, titanium retinas To share this potent sway Against time I, grip Rusty handle bars to ride Upon your caramel sunsets Sweetened with diabetic urges, Feening Feening Inject me towards unbridled upbringings, Chrysanthemum sentences Etched upon your neck Of Egyptian cotton awakenings … I do not want to be your tomorrow, Because that could never be promised Yet, all we have is today. Because all we have is today. All we have is today… ©Drake J. Eszes

Great lines with majestic eloquence.. Your meandering of words still did not prevent your peice from giving out its message. This is an absolute 7!

So many great images here, some simply surreal but so appealing. A bit like reading a paisley print. What a journey.

Just wanted to stop by on this last poem you posted (which is, of course, uniquely one of a kind....your own signature!!)....but also to say that you are missed by those who loved to tune in and listen to you and your guests! Hope all is well, and that you plan to return to the soup as well as your show. Hope you are doing something great that has kept you too busy!! Best wishes, Drake!

Now I remember.... your poetic talents!!!! It's been awhile, but reading your work always inspires me to upgrade mine. You set a high bar Mr. Drake with this one. I love the line....."another didactic breath.. For your silky titanium retinas"-- the eye... both the mirror and reflection of the mind. My new book....has eye illustrations for both the front and back cover Xx~Xx

Dropping by to say hi to a guy who is born to fly and that's no lie. Where have you been, I've looked and not seen, no new poems to read that's mean, we're ready and keen like an anxious teen. So grab your pen and write again your words are like a runaway train, slam us with exquisite pain soak us in metaphorical rain. On that note see ya later aligator.

Okay...LOVE.... this is... augh! I love it too much to have the right words to say. I'm usually good at thinking SOMETHING up, unless I am forced to speak it that is. Awesome piece here. I gottah quote these parts...very unique and memorable lines: "I, grip Rusty handle bars to ride Upon your caramel sunsets Sweetened with diabetic urges, Feening Feening" ---beyond sophisticated poetry, beyond passionate, and full of color! Seriously, why do I not come here more often? : ) Always. Laura
