I was a fool. I was a fool searching for reasons why. Reasons why I Grin with sudden boy giggles As if Karma was my DJ, Playing cotton candy woven riffs Of rhythmic whispers Evermore Everlong I savor dark chocolate Peanut M&Ms Tasting her sincerity With each Pacific Ocean observance Her dialect portrays within My sunset smiles I was a fool. A slightly nervous kid At his first Sadie Hawkins dance Holding a paper cup filled with swirly colored punch... ...not spiked ;-) Futile attempts to stifle these vibrating legs From crippling my exhaling urges I was a fool. Searching for irreplaceable reasons Why my smiles became An 11 year old innocence I smile. I blush. I think we all can relate to these feelings of carefree love. When we find someone we like, and they like us just as much. There is no greater feeling than acceptance. A terrific poem that was easy to read. Great work, Drake!...Thank you for the great comments, once again.

'because' is reason enough when you are pubescent kids waiting for those first urges to be satisfied.!LOL.Not having a clue what it's all about..and at that age..sometimes it's actually more fun to eat those m & m's than the nervous reality of holding each other,much less dancing!! Some of my best memories, are also my worst memories...of those first dances..I'd almost get sick while doing my hair and putting powder on my freckled nose! (ps..I like my m' & m's without nuts !!!! LOL!! Love this!

You have inspired me, I may make a fearful poem based on the fears of two children at a Halloween dance wanting to dance with each other, but afraid of their conspicuous masks! Yes there is a lot of symbolism there, just as in your creative write my friend! But your write is also told just as it is as well!
