Let us weave together faded cloth
Edges lately shared with moth
A tartan stained with Haggis broth
Tie-dyed remnants of a past
Streaks of paint from banners splashed
A free love economy long since crashed
bra-less tee shirts, nippled rings
a toneless tongue that sadly sings
of a loneliness a future brings
Blend it, spin it, tear it asunder
Bleed it of its living thunder
Create a bleeding patchwork blunder
For then was then and now is now
And a golden calf is still a cow
So write what you want and take a bow
