YELLOW

I cannot deny my “yellowness” Its golden edge slicing the sunshine Causing the sunflowers to sulk Although they claim residency While I just blew into town Nearby Jonquils aren’t impressed Yet lean to take a look I revel in my “yellowness” Rest gently against the breeze Beckoning the honey bees They will tickle me tenderly Gathering my essence Promising my “yellowness” is safe Just catching a fresh wind to another town

John, you have captured the whimsical! "Just catching a fresh wind to another town!" Love the last line. And yellow is true to itself in your lines! Sheer delight in your "yellowness" lines! Best wishes for the contest! Blessings to you!

Well, it's true that yellow attracts bees. How I know that is too long a story for this limited box. But it really does... ~ Mellow Yellow
