Under the glow of a dead moon

I have been here much too long. I ache for a varied vies of the stratosphere A spin on the rings of Saturn Bar hopping on the Milky Way I know way too much about you Earthlings, Making love Under the glow of a dead moon A cancer Destroying the celestial body you rely on for sustenance. I came to monitor your actions In “The Great War” (as if a war could be great). You still have our attention I shall be leaving My hope is That you awaken To your insanity For my replacement Will be much less tolerant Of your antics.

I loved this poem. The Sci-fi format is very cool. As Stephen Hawking said, "Don't try to communicate with 'Them'.

Hello John, This is a story with a haunting and introspective tone, capturing the longing for exploration and the lament over humanity's destructive tendencies. Your portrayal of an outsider observing humanity's actions with a mixture of concern and resignation adds depth to the narrative, prompting me to contemplate our impact on the world and beyond. Oh, the fragility of our existence and the importance of introspection. Excellent Read! - Blessings, Daniel
