I Speak of Peace

I speak of peace You call me a war monger I offer you a hand You refuse it for it is empty I share my lunch with you You complain it is not enough I am concerned about the state of my country You don’t understand as you have abandoned yours I speak of unity You call me a racist You speak of racism And call yourself “woke” Am I but a silenced voice A distant bell tolling In an empty graveyard Words gone stale For lack of understanding A dream laid waste By wordless whores

Excellent words. Oppositional actions are the games of children. Some persons still have not been raised.

To speak with that level of tenacity is far from being silenced. Voices offer words of peace, but few listen. I'm hearing the song, Sound of Silence... it was certainly heard. "People hearing without listening..."I prefer the version by Disturbed. Good effects, John.

Ooh. If those are woke voices, then I want mine to be sleepy.
