the mirror doesn't lie

The mirror doesn’t lie
Perhaps indents, reverses,
Contains
That which we hide
For it has no soul
No desire to know us.

It cares not
About your heartache
Or joy
Feels not your tears
Hears not your curses.

It remains neutral
Undecided
Uninvested
It knows no loneliness
When you are not there.

It will never tell you
That hair cut is awful
Nor ask
Why are you crying.

To it
You are but a reflection
Gazing into itself
Wondering
Which is real.

I've heard some people refuse to have mirrors. I'm continuing to reflect on the usefulness of mirrors. Thank you for your view.

What would the mirror say to us if we stared into it long enough? It would tell us the harsh truth since it cannot lie. Things we don't want to hear, but therein lies the reason it remains silent. lol didn't mean to get philosophical. Everyone knows mirrors only talk to evil queens and narcissists.
