Hello, Everyone.

My name, is William Darnell Sr. I'm a retired carpenter, and a father of 5 grown children, 4 boys, and a beautiful daughter. My wife's passed away, 13 yrs now, so that makes me, a widower. My oldest, a son, is passed as well. I also have 6 grandchildren, 4 boys, and 2 beautiful granddaughter's. I've been writing poetry for around 20 yrs. My inspiration's God, my 7th grade English teacher, and my woodshop teacher. The greatest thing I have ever done, was married my wife, may she rest in peace, and the children she has given us. I was supposed to write a story of a tragedy that has happened to my family. But, having some difficulties. So, I'm just going to come right out and tell you. Two of my children had been raped, by a family member as some or maybe most of you might well know. My late wife's little brother done this. I hold myself responsible, most say, it wasn't my fault and I get that. But, the truth is, we knew. more to come... And, for this reason alone, that we knew, I hold responsible. I, as a father, husband, protector, and a man should have been assertive, regardless of my wife's feelings, having our children's best interest at mind, and said no, absolutely not! Ok, this is a Bio, an entry as to who I am, a briefing. I'll carry this story over to my blog. Anyways, that's me!

Hi, Everyone! Yes, I was missing in action because I believe I am on my way home, which I am almost home. But, unfortunately, I stayed on the road less traveled. So now those that know of my story and I turned from life? Well, this is approximately twenty-four years ago this happened and laid all my hobbies down.

This drawing is one of the hobbies I was always doing, drawing, sketching, painting, writing. Until tragedy hit my family, I only plummeted myself down the rabbit hole into the terrors of the dark world of drugs because of the incident, wishing they would take my life. Three years after passing away, placed on life support few weeks, and when I come alive first thing I told or asked instead, God, Christ Jesus, I said, Lord, I can't live the way I was living anymore. I said can you lead me home or help me home.

Nothing looked the same, and 22 years of life passed me by, but I wasn't in it. The truth is, I'm learning how to live again, how to accept myself; I don't know how to live anymore. The abyss I was in was living loneliness wishing, hoping please drugs take me today, I hope you do? ( Following?) Seven months ago, I picked that wooden pencil up, and my first subject was an African Elephant. The largest of all the different species of elephant. I kept telling myself; you can't do it; why try? I feel better about a lot of things. I'm seeing life for the first time. Well, I wanted to share what I've been doing. And Im going into total revamp here. Adding a hand drawing by me to everything I write. I added this one to my parent's eulogy.

Thanks for stopping and reading; I had to mention my disappearance and what I have been doing. Came to some conclusions on a few internal matters in my life. I will probably mention it at some point in time. I miss everyone and will submit new stuff every few days. So, I am almost here.

Hi, Jo, Again! As the artist speaking, this is bringing me back to focus, detail if you will!? Slow down; no hurries in drawing or sketching, too, and absorb yourself into the drawing itself. As if you were standing right close? In the late 80s and 90s, I had portraits and drawings I sold for a few hundred dollars. I'm not bragging; I am confident again in myself, with art are artistic related things. Today I can breathe without O2 on for an hour, then back at it. I carry a writing leather journal and I also have a field journal for drawing, sketch. Best of Wishes, William

Baby steps, by baby steps! I knew it would be putting myself out here like that. Truth be it known, I honestly lost the will to live when so much of it I turned and got bewildered separated, and now a displacement I didn't care anything about.
