Doing the I Do

I did the I DO It's the best thing I've done The decision to Marry My special one Sure some people Think single is great That's okay for them I chose not to wait Once I found her I moved real fast I wouldn't let Opportunity pass Woman of my dreams Not just a cliche' For me no others I can love this way Years have passed Love hasn't faded Single for Married Will never be traded So if you find someone for you if there's no question Do the I Do

Hey, Richard, I loved everything about this poem, Doing the, I Do. It's quaint, festive, romantic, and it whispers sweet nothings! These four lines sell it, I think sold. Years have passed Love hasn't faded Single for Married Will never be traded. The line, Single for Married, I live that, I am single, but my late wife just went to prepare a place. I enjoyed reading your poetry, great work, buddy! Best Wishes, William

When you find the one, you may change your mind. I never thought I would marry again but there is value in fully commiting to the person you Love.

So very well said, Richard! My son just did it and I'm going to show him your poem; they'll love it, I already know! It's so nice you stopped by to ask how I'm doing! Sorry, work was pretty tough these last days: not much time for the Soup... But it won't last long, my friend. I'll be reading as much as I can, soon! Thanks a lot!:) Hanitra

I had some learning to do before I met her. Was married at 19 didn't work out so well. Now Mary and I have been together 20 years. A friend once told me if I wait for the person God had in mind for me, things would work out better. I must say, he made an excellent choice.
