Notes About The Poem

April is, National Poetry Month, and I thought this fit, celebration of the month. I truly hope you enjoy, "Morning Glow." I love nature and all its beauty. (A philocalist (n) rare word.)

Morning Glow

When I woke up this morning,
With the Sun's glowing rays
I leaned forward to feel
The warmth of it on my face.

I, sitting on the porch,
Watching nature awaken
Birds come out for feeding
I was excited and shaking.

The wind blows softly,
The trees wave their leaves
Like they were saying:
Good morning to me.

The doves in the background,
Are cooing for more.

Cotton ball clouds: of greys and white,
Roaming the sky above feels right
The smell of rain permeates the air
Flowers unfold pedals
Forms the beauty out there.

Dear William, This is a really soothing, tender, pretty poem - an Ode to Nature! I really enjoyed reading your poem, especially the last stanza is stunning! Keep writing such romantic, captivating poems on Nature with flowing lines, and excellent word-choices. Best wishes, Dear Poet ~
