THAT’S WHEN I FALL DOWN UPON MY KNEES There’s no way- I’ll see another sunrise My hope is gone- as I'm contemplating my life Prospects are bleak- that’s just the way I’m feeling My strength is gone- and my will to live is fading Here in the dark- Even my shadow has left me I spiral down- into a pit of misery That’s when I- remember that you still love me I kneel to pray- and throw all my cares upon you Chorus That’s when I fall down upon my knees And then I beg you Lord... Don’t turn your face away from me I know I’ve made a mess out of my life Could you help me please? When I feel like it’s the end That’s when I fall down upon my knees I cannot lie- I know I’m running out of time And I know- that your patience is wearing thin I must change- if I’m ever going to save my life Oh please dear Lord- help me fight all my sins and win! You truly are a wizard of emotions and words in this outstanding song John. All the accolades it receives and will receive are just tokens of appreciation for such a soulful melody. Haven't all of us at some point turned to God when everything seemed to end, in that bleak hope of finding comfort and courage. Congratulations on POTD! Hey SO no that's not me singing it's a songwriter I found and he helped me out with the music and vocals. Actually I did have another one recorded last year I posted it, it was a country song and I didn't care for it too much. I actually have 3 others that are recorded and I'm pitching them to radio and tv so here's to hoping! Thanks so much for your encouragement!
