I, was born in Cumberland, Maryland 1937 as an adult my taste in writing is diverse within life experiences.

Why create poetry?  Why create anything? Some days you are feeling serious, playful, or downright sad and this is when poetry is born. Just to say, "I think I'll be creative today", and write some poetry.  My creations, considered of mood, in mood or just mood. When the mind is with work, hobby stuff or conversing with others poetry just will not be with you.

I choose poetry to express reality too, some that are difficult to express openly but with poetic verse freedom to do so is less stressful.  My life is not full of stress!  Just the opposite, as I am a blessed man.  I believe this paragraph would apply to all poets!  Everything except the blessed part as blessings need to be accepted and everyone cannot do that!

I also publish my poetry on Amazon, (The Adventures of Poetry).  Future writings will expand on those same life experiences in story form. As described in my first book, (The Adventures of Wilbert), you would think I would not still be alive but because I am, all those youthful, dangerous happenstances are in memory and I am ready to share.

My writings were a sketch and not complete.  That was the best criticism, as it was I.  I now build on my sketches and create the finished painting. After touch-up and brush stroke improvement my writing are finished.
